Parts For Macan (95B) MK1 (2014-2018)

About Macan (95B) MK1 (2014-2018)

The Porsche Macan made its debut in November 2014. Initially slated to be named the Cajun, Porsche eventually opted for the moniker "Macan," derived from the Indonesian word for Tiger, reflecting the SUV's dynamic and agile nature. Positioned as a compact luxury SUV, the Macan caters to individuals seeking the performance of a sports car with the added versatility of extra space.

Upon its launch, driving enthusiasts quickly grasped that Porsche had successfully imbued its DNA into the Macan, making it a true embodiment of the brand's heritage. As Porsche's fifth model in its lineup, the Macan marked the company's entry into the luxury compact CUV segment, riding on Volkswagen's MLB platform, which it shares with the Audi Q5.

Initially, Porsche introduced the Macan S and Macan Turbo models. In its second model year, 2016, minimal changes were made to the Macan, with the notable addition of three-zone climate control as standard. However, in 2017, Porsche introduced a new trim, the Macan GTS, positioned between the existing models. The Macan GTS featured a 3.0 twin-turbo V6 engine with slightly more boost pressure than the S model, along with standard PASM adaptive suspension paired with air springs.

Additionally, Porsche expanded the Macan lineup by introducing a 2.0L in-line 4-cylinder turbo model, serving as the entry-level option. Across all models, Porsche equipped the Macan with its seven-speed PDK transmission, electro-mechanical power steering, and advanced suspension systems, ensuring optimal performance and handling. Furthermore, all Macan variants boast impressive braking capabilities, with six-piston front brake calipers and high-performance rotors enhancing stopping power and control.
