Ever since the disc brake was invented vibration and pulsation caused by thermal expansion has been a major issue giving rise to warped discs - until now?
PFC has released new V3 disc and hat technology. The advanced design features a patented attachment design that uses a retention ring that holds the hat and disc together.
The ring means no need for torque wrenches, and no hassle. The ability to change a disc quickly and efficiently saves time and effort. As well as being convenient, the new V3 technology is much lighter than previous designs, making it easier to put on and pull off, and making the vehicle lighter.
This V3 disc retention method is based on the use of a two-turn retaining ring, which is held in a groove in the hat that overlaps the disc flanges – effectively locking the disc to the hat.
● Exceptional manufacturing standards - Run out less than 0.0254mm, Thickness variation less than 0.00762mm. Surface finishes less than .7 microns. When used in conjunction with Z rated fast road/track day pads, component life and on track performance markedly improved over competitors pads.

The Girodisc brake rotor is a direct replacement for the OE discs, and provides significant performance benefits. The rotors are compatible with any of the current pads typically used with these cars.
Additional information:
Braking Performance: The rotor is a two-piece design developed in racing to produce a lightweight rotor that can compensate for the different expansion rates between the hat and rotor and eliminate the possibility of rotor warping.
The rotor and hat have a floating mount system, which utilizes 10 high strength alloy steel drive pins, which allows for axial and radial float.
More heat sink without a weight penalty: The Girodisc disc set weights in a little lighter than the OE system but with an important advantage. The rotors have grown in diameter. This means that weight has been transferred from the center hat were it does nothing to the outer diameter where it is actively absorbing and dispersing heat.
High Quality Materials: The Girodisc system uses only the highest quality materials and components. The rotors are high carbon content iron for long wear and stable thermal performance. The top hat section is machined from billet aluminum with an attractive anodized finish. The rotor rings are bright zinc plated to help prevent unsightly corrosion

OZ 20: suitable for long distance series; extremely high stability of the friction coefficient over a wide temperature range
OZ 30: suitable for sprint distances; highest friction coefficient with good wear properties of brake disc and brake pad
The mixtures of the friction material of Formula:R brake pads are individually developed in cooperation with our racing team and are successfully tested in endurance racing. The durability of brake discs and brake pads are just as important as a stable friction coefficient, which ensures that the pads are extremely fading-resistant. To adapt the pads to the individual requirements of different drivers, different friction compounds are available for some applications.
Zimmermann has been manufacturing high-quality brake parts at the Sinsheim site for more than 60 years. Our brake parts are used successfully in the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) under the extreme conditions at the Nürburgring and are constantly being further developed.
